Jim,
When you go through this again will you be posting & sharing pics?
I would be, as I'm sure others would like to know the timing degrees.
What other carb do you have in mind?
Do you feel the 199 is @ its limits?
It looks like from the pics you shared that the Stihl intake boot, along with the intake track was a go combination.
& everything fit under the hood nicely.
Did you ever have any pics of the peened muffler?
Thanks

I'll probably have to get some more pics of the muffler and whatnot next time I'm into it. We'll see about those timing numbers too.
The 199 on it isn't at its limit yet, but it will be...eventually.

With the 361 having to be peened to fit are there other choices that would fit the cylinder bolt pattern and give the saw the OEM look?
Maybe an older J-Red?

I wonder if a 2171 would fit?
Ok so after Digging around I have a muffler that fits the case.

But will it bolt to the cylinder?

Anyone know what the bolt spacing is for the 272XP Cylinder is?

The Muffler is from the following saws
HUSQVARNA 435 440 445 450 JONSERED CS2245 CS2250 Part# 544 14 77 02
Thanks

@Chainsaw Jim
Jim is there any chance you can replace the crank seals in the Hybrid & run it again for all of us.

I especially, would like to see it run against a stock or near stock 357 or 2156.
Using the same bar & chain and same log.
Maybe 3 fast cuts back to back
for each saw.
So we can see the time difference between them.

I really think all of us here on OPE would love to see that 357xp Hybrid again.
Thanks

I will as soon as I can get some seals. This is as close as I can get until then. The 357 in the first video has a mild port job.
