Need a good recommendation for bearings and seals on a 350. I put cheap Chinese crap in and only got about 10 tanks of gas before the seals were leaking. I want to buy a quality set can someone point me in the right direction?

Buy oem bearings and seals. Are you sure they are leaking from the seal around the crank or around the bottom plate?

Watch aftermarket seals on these as the seals center the crank where it needs to be and keeps it from walking. I tried aftermarket ones last winter on a build and they were narrower than the oem which allowed the crank to walk and journal/ case contact was made. Definitely do yourself a favor and go oem in this area

I can sometimes find good deals on ebay for the seal / bearing combos. Oem seals come already installed on the bearing. The install tool is helpful too to avoid puckering the seal.

Also the factory 'relieved' the case a little on the retainer cap and case as the model development went on, I reckon to give the squished out bit of seal somewhere to go rather than pinching between the case and cap. I added a case relief with a handfile to my yr2000 case.
But I'm rough.

Do oem bearings still have a plastic gage?
