Yesterday I had purchased a builder from muh father. Can’t wait to get this underway. I already did some clean up and its not in bad shape

That's an 88. Most of the 266's are pretty high comp.
I have one that's about 6-7 tanks into breaking in with a 268 popup in it that's making about 225psi right now.

Don't do that starting it with the rear handle

Yah, definitely wouldn't be trying that with that saw. It will rip the handle out of your hand if you don't get it right, that's for sure.
I do intend on pulling it back down and porting it, but it's a pretty strong unit as is.

I may have a slight issue with that chassis...

Going to do a 272 on at least one of those...
I don't feel too guilty grinding on one of those cylinders, but only because I have a couple...
There are actually 3 different 266 cylinders. I have them all... LOL

I think I have 12
6 of them 266 the rest 268/272
I prefer the dual coil saws.
I've talked to several companies about 266 topcovers
Hopefully someone makes them eventually.

Great saws small size chassis
For the size they are.

Hopefully someone makes them eventually.

I don't have any single coil saws at the moment, and only 1 266 cover that isn't broken in some way. I know I would be buying a bunch of them.
