For me it means it should look like new outside and inside, but may have had fuel trough it after it left the factory. No defects allowed of course.
It is best to avoid the expression when selling a saw, without describing what it means - as opinions of what it means will vary. The same is of course the case with "as new" as well....

To me minty means very nice to new and in the same mechanical shape . Most saws are used hard and abused. Very clean in appearance

We see the term "Mint" about the same from how you described how you see it Niko
. A lot of the phrases and terms used can be country based and may mean slightly different things as you point out i guess ... I think Tor's question was asked with this in mind . Pictures can help to smooth the path of interpretation some what but perhaps saying what the saw "Is not" can be helpful. For example...not broken..not missing parts..not had a non OEM cylinder fitted.....and so on .
