I need to replace an old Shindaiwa T25 brush cutter and it looks like the Husky 223R is a older design 2 stroke. Will it take heavy use cutting grass with a long 105 line? Looks like it has a flex shaft instead of a solid machined shaft which may or may not be a problem.

I ran one of the new Stihl FS130 4-mix units and I'm not impressed! Looking for a simple classic 2-stroke that revs high and has instant throttle response.

Buy another Shindaiwa. They still make a quality machine.

Yes I was looking at the C262 at their website and it says "2 stroke". Not sure what they are doing for emissions. Cat muffler maybe? Thanks.

Get the C282 - I am sure you would be very happy with that machine!

Many Shindaiwa / Echo dealers are having a 20% off sale coming up - would be an excellent time to buy.

I have a 223R and like it real well. I run .105 string and the metal blade. I ordered a non cat muffler from the early model and it was direct bolt on.
