However Rich did note that some times you can jam a B or C piston in a smaller cylinder bore . Plus he did note that further in production dates they only made one bore size which I'm certain had lot to do with the production machinery used during that time period .Now of days they can hold tollerances in the micro meter range .
Don’t have any C setup, I have A, B cylinders and thin ring setup ,

After seeing several 1100/2100 cylinders over the years with the plating wore plum out, this seems quite plausible that a different grade piston would fit properly after some usage had occurred.

Be cool if Wiseco had a 2100 application ,

That would be cool...would be even more cool if they made one using 395 ring pin locations and 395 windows.

A copy of the last piston design in this series would be nice. I think it had the locating pins more off to the side like the 394 though.

I can't remember the name but a guy I think in Michagan who was real active in saw racing had ordered a dozen from Wiseco he was trying to sell a few .Danged things were $200 a pop . If I'm not mistaken Wiseco will make anything you want but you have to buy a dozen .

Yeah, the piston factory is slow and not at the top of the priority list as a result.

I gotta get an order here...
How about the p&c kits in hard Chrome? I saw the nicasil

Was he in the UP (Upper Wisconsin) or in Michigan?

Yea , they will make them , just have to submit a print and dimensions, and good chunk of change, Lee H had Dolmar 166 pistons made I believe from them ,

I can't remember .I'll just say he was different .He got in trouble on flea bay attempting to raise his own offers bidding like a seperate person but using the same computer .Then he had another person or so the story went if it's true helping him .That's been a long time ago .
Back to the subject the 2100 Husky .Once it was the hot ticket as a racer until the 3120 Husqvarna came out .They can still get-er-done but not like the bigger Swede .Mine used to run better than most stockers until I had problems with it and it will again but it's not a racer nor will it ever be .

Tank repair experiment.
Had my welder neighbor try playing with a spare tank today. Seems to have come out OK. I'll still need to plug up openings and pressure test...and there will be leaks...
Once found ill mix up some Marine-tex , heat up the leaky spots, get a vacuum going and start sealing tiny holes.
Then, we'll see how well it worked.
To be continued...

That will be awesome if it works! I have a 2100 gas tank where the handle was broken off, I wonder if a donor handle could be welded onto it. Other than that part of the handle, everything else on it is in good shape.

The problem with welding on these is that they are originally glued together. So wherever you stop the weld on the seam the glue is probably going to be comprised for a little while from the heat.

Yeah, that will be the challenge. I am OK with giving it a shot on this one as it isn't usable as it is.

That would be relatively easy for him. The trick is to make the exact cuts to each one so the donor part will match up. It only has to be close. If you find an otherwise trashed tank with the handle portion still intact, just cut off more than is needed to match up.

Yup, Mark took that into consideration as I told him what you had told me. He wanted to give it a try anyway :p
There will be some porous areas within the weld so I figured to epoxy seal the whole thing after the fact and see what happens.

Mark's a retired aircraft Industrial welder who gets bored, lol
