Came across a really nice 242 today. I had planned to resell it but may end up keeping it. What do you guys think, is it nice enough that I should put it on a shelf?
Assuming it was manufactured in week 17 of 1989, anyone confirm?

If you don’t keep that saw........something is wrong with you! Need I say more?
I think Joey is in love! You should get that saw out and run it. Find the tune, sharp chain and appreciate what that saw offered at that time. Sure time has evolved, but you have something that is worth experiencing. Maybe you won't like it, that's cool. But I'm willing to bet if used right, you will enjoy it.

Do as you wish. I don't buy the 15.5 hoopla. It is more than a limbing saw if that is what you read. Dang Internet! Sell it and make money if you will. If you don't appreciate it, get rid of. Does that answer you questions?
