You want a husky bar on a Stihl?How about going from a " D009 to a D025/3003 mount.
Adapter available?
Well not exactly its those pesky 18" Tiger Champ bars .058 3/8.You want a husky bar on a Stihl?
Carefully measure and use a cut of wheel on an angle grinder taking a little off each side. Iam about to do the same thing this weekend.Well not exactly its those pesky 18" Tiger Champ bars .058 3/8.
My machine bud is MIA...so it's on to plan B, C, or D!
Will that eliminate the need fer a adapter?Carefully measure and use a cut of wheel on an angle grinder taking a little off each side. Iam about to do the same thing this weekend.
Much obliged!Your D009 bar mount slot is 9.5 mm wide and the D025 is 12mm so no adapter needed unless mount back on a husky
I'm afraid I lack your mechanical prowess...I'll get by somehow. lolThis was a D025 bar with a @Homelite410 adapter the to large husky mount saw. The holes with arrows I added. Then I had to remove that much from the slot to get everthing to fit.View attachment 71472
Harbor freight calipers around $10 they do sae and metric. And the hard part of what I did was making sure the bar was clamped down tight to keep from moving.I'm afraid I lack your mechanical prowess...I'll get by somehow. lol
What type of measuring device you have there?

I've got a 394 I want to switch to .404 and run a 32" bar on it. The problem is: 1. Getting .404 in husky. 2. A bar I'm looking at is a Stihl mount. That means I'm going tohave to put an adaptor on it and I don't have any experience with them. I know people out there run them, what is your experience with them? Good or bad? Oil holes line up correctly? Do they hold the bar in a stable position? Thanks for any advise!
My vote is for the 440. I can't help it as to I am partial to this saw.I just went out and mocked up a Stihl bar on the 365, it looks like I could but I’d have to elongate the slot and drill a new adjuster hole. Or, I buy an 044/440 to run my Stihl bars and chains on. I’m thinking I’ll do the adapter/modify option so I can utilize my chain hoard, what do y’all think?
Well that’s no fun. LolFurther update, after sorting out my chains I learned I have 5 Husky-length 28 inch chains and 5 Stihl-length 28 inch chains. Crises averted and I’ll pass on getting another saw for now.
Funny you should say that, a friend stopped by yesterday and commented on how disappointing the size of my saw collection was compared to when they heard me talk about it. I explained I’d sold 30+ saws since I told them about it and was trying to keep it to less than 20 saws, but they were still disappointed in me.Well that’s no fun. Lol
