I have an opportunity to get a husqvarna 570 basket case, but only if I can get an xp slug & jug on it.

Now, from what my research has told me, is that the case is a match to the 575xp, and that cylinder is a straight bolt on.

But the new case is the same part number as the 576xp case.

575 are nla, but I did find a meteor kit for around $180. A 576 is $220 or so. Is it possible to get a 576 on the old style case? Or go with the meteor kit, or what would you do?

Maybe someone here has spares
That's pretty expensive on those kits.

Have anything? I never messed with that series much

I don't have anything with the larger bore. Not sure about the swap, somebody will come along.

The 570 was a good saw in its own right if the seals were changed to the new offering from Husqvarna.

Hunt around on Evil bay, I found a NOS 575 OEM cylinder kit for less than$100. I don't think the 576 interchanges.
