Husky 550xp bar...

Just making sure the 550 mark 2 is a ko95 mount bar. I've got a new Forester Platinum bar on it and something ain't right.

Pretty sure you are right , at least the 095 part. What's the problem? Chain brake on? Same gauge chain as bar? Correct sprocket in good condition?

No, everything is good with the chain and bar. I've got the oiler turned up all the way but the chain seems dry. However, I had it buried in red oak yesterday and there was no smoke and the chain teeth weren't burnt looking. I just got the saw last week and maybe I just need to get used to it...

I have noticed the oil holes in some newer bars are smaller than in older bars. I have opened up a couple of them. I like to see oil when I'm cutting.

Yup do the same open up all the holes in my bars def not as big as they use to come in the old days for sure
