I just picked up a husky 41 ..didn't come with a bar and chain..does anyone know what bar chain combo the came with?
They came stock with 3/8 low pro, I have had one that I got that was swapped to .325 but I think it was a bit much for the saw. They run really good with a muffler mod and a non safety 3/8 low pro chain. Good little liming saws. That's that low pro chain right..
The one I have has the specs for .325 right on the top cover. They came stock with 3/8 low pro, I have had one that I got that was swapped to .325 but I think it was a bit much for the saw. They run really good with a muffler mod and a non safety 3/8 low pro chain. Good little liming saws.
So aperintly mine was set up with 3/8 lp chain. I need to switch over to 325 by can't seem to figure out how to find the right spline sprocket..anyon know which one it takes
You got a real bargain. Easy to fix, now a good runner, and cheap. It's a dream whenever one of those comes along.Sounds encouraging ....the small engine guy I got it from didn't know anything about it as it was given to him not running for parts...since there are very few husky saws here he never had a need for it. He sold it to me for 20 bucks...
The problem with the saw turned out to be striped muffler bolts...I re taped and made studs for it..to get it running I just put gas in it..it fired up after only a few pulls..this suprised me as he said it had been in that van body full of parts saws for 15 years

So I was cleaning up the top cover an the specs for the chain were there ..it came with 325 50 ga..someone had put on a 3/8 sprocket sometime.
Thanks for the tip..
I made a huge mistake about three years ago. I rebuilt a non-running Husky 41 and sold it to a tree trimming/removal company. It was the dumbest thing I ever did that year. That saw ran flawlessly after I rebuilt it and it likely still does today. Light and strong for its size, what more could I have asked for?
Yes I still have it.Runs perfect@Motorhead You still have the 41 from the raffle a few years ago? How did that turn out? It make a good runner?

Poulan 295 has .325 sprocket,It’s interchangeable with the 41,141,142,36,137,also the 46cc poulan motor will fit right in that chassis. So aperintly mine was set up with 3/8 lp chain.
