I wore one out, bought from D-Dave.
Now I’m using Bahco because they were 1/2 the price.
Pferd was better. Cut smoother & cleaner, lasted longer.

That's a stihl 3 corner.

Never used a pferd.

I have had good luck with the pherd files. Imo way better than save edge.

There stihl so there slow. But they're smooth. I really have come to like them. Tricky to get the hang of.

I may get one to try. I have been using chisel bit Save Edge files. Looks like your Stihl file, files a bigger edge on the tooth.

Maybe I'm a liar, lol. I went to look, and looks like I'm out of the Pferd. I mite have some nos, but will be a minute.

I do have save edge tri at give away prices.
Example, save edge 7" 3 square. 6.88 free ship.
But wait. There's more. Check out the classifieds in a few.

They're finer toothed and really do remove less per pass compared to that save edge.

The 6 sided flat files look like they give a smaller, thinner edge on the tooth than the 6 sided triangular Stihl file. Maybe it is just an optical illussion from the photo?

Appearances are deceiving. There's something silly going on with that last cutter. The stihl leaves a terribly large gullet to keep clean.
