That looks great! What pipe material is that? Where did you buy? And is that silver soldered on?

Dave, big thanks for posting this. Doc sent me a deflector, I wasn’t sure how I was going to attach it to a new G660 muffler. This technique and materials worked great.

Torch used was air/acetylene. Note how the brazing material flows into a nice fillet where the parts join.

Best results are obtained when all paint/dirt have been removed and metal cleaned with acetone before heating. Any oxidized contaminants will weaken the joint.

Made a video of how I braze a deflector on a muffler.
Thought I’d share it here, may be useful to some.

That's fn sweet man. I mig welded my 026 muffler. Can be tedious with grinding and all. That braze looks nicer. 20230311_171002.jpg
