Going to do my first gasket delete on an ms360. Couple questions,

I am going to try to check squish, but in stock form do they usually have enough clearance to not be a head slapper???

How much goo??? I'm usually really generous with the sauce, just think that if I use too much going to end up in the crank bearings sooner or later if it oozes a lot on the inside. Was going to use permatex ultimate grey??

Thought appreciated!!!

Well, you want through coverage of both mating surfaces. With Threebond and other similar sealants you don't want or need it so thick that alot oozes out when you mate the two pieces together. A small amount of oozing is OK if not desirable. This way you know there is a good seal achieved. Key phrase here being "small amount".... These types of sealant work alot better than silicone based RTV sealants in my opinion so excess amounts are not needed or recommended.

Same here. I put a thin coat on the base and let it set up overnight. Don't know if that does any good but its certainly not hurt anything bad. Have had good luck doing it that way.
