They all were back then. I knew a family that could not afford a saw and had two young men in their twenties that would take down 36" + trees with double bit falling axes. The brothers would take turns and after a couple if hours, they had the tree down. As any of us kids stand stand a little ways, 20 feet or so, back and watch. You'd never see that today.

On the oil cap, pull that aluminum plug out. It goes behind it. Fuel cap, behind the sintered plug. Pry it out with an awl. Both are the same. The Poulan valve works well in the oil cap if you have one but is a bit long for the fuel cap.

Garage sale yesterday 50$ for the saw with case,runs well might even have the original chain. No spare in box and the one on the saw has homelite markings.

Anyone know of a tool made or a way of removing a clutch on a VI955? I was thinking a air hammer, but do not own one. I did try to make a tool... welded two pieces of steel rod opposite sides of a socket and put it on my impact and it still broke them off. Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Left thread, no impact tool. You might have jammed it so tight it will be impossible to remove without damage to the crank. Hopefully that is not the case. Hold the flywheel with a strap wrench or stuff the cylinder above the transfer ports with rope to hold the crank.

An 8 x 3/8” rim is only a tiny bit larger than a 7 x .405”.

All of my Canadian assembled 900 series came with 8 pin rims. I'm not sure the 700 would take advantage of an 8 pin.

I do have a 9 x .325” on hand that is larger than a 7 x .404”.

Standard 3/8, that being said, Homelite made some of their own 3/8 chain with lower semi chisel for the SEZ and 150. A healthy SEZ will pull a 16” 3/8 chisel in hardwoods like a boss.

Ended up with a loop of LP on it. Pulls along the bar smooth once I got it oiled up. 14” Homie hardnose.

Where can a person get the fuel lines for an ez? I have an old standard ez blue with a green handle I had it running but the fuel lines fell apart. Been awhile since I’ve looked but it was 3 Parts if I remember right. Two molded rubber hoses and a metal line in between.
