I looked at it at work the first time. Looked good.

Now it looks a bit less promising.

Jury still out on this one. You can see the casting marks Juggy is taliking about in the band. I can make those go away.

The plating is chipped, but below the exhaust port. I can deal with that.

No ring of death. That's good.

The port bevels. Can grind those.

The excessive squish with no gasket (as per Juggy-haven't checked), that may be a problem. I typically take 50 from the chamber on these. Maybe I will need less, I have to time the jug still. The base may not permit enough thickness to cut it.

We shall see.

Are you going to run that jug the way it is, just to set a baseline or see how well it runs without improvements?
I am not. I will be timing it though, hopefully this evening. I'll post those results.

I told the Vendor I was interested in the performance potential from a porters perspective from the get go.

Juggy is gonna run sorta stock, I assume after he sands out the zero squish casting lines in the band.

I'm gonna see how it does with my regular mods.

I have to weigh the jug as well. It feels a bit lighter in weight than an oem jug.

On quick inspection, I truly thought this jug was a bit better than it wound up being. Not sure I'd run it stock at all.

I would run it just as an experiment. I like experimenting but since I have built more than a few 026`s I don`t see much to be liked in that jug in stock form, almost scary in that some of the trash left in there might come loose. Many other AM jugs have that same problem that can be cleaned up by guys like us but the average consumer wouldn`t know to do that or have the tools or developed the skil set. I know you will make it talk....LOL

I wouldn't like to run it in stock form, I reckon it wouldn't see the day out before grenading!

Maybe those casting lines in the band are a new design to help scavenging. Lol
