A 230lb 90cc saw is a much harder starting saw than a 60cc at 230lb but still not terrible.

The 185lb hybrid i built David Young is the only saw to get me in a long time.
It got me almost every time I started it

Not sure what your favorite 064 was at for compression last year when we had it at Dan's, but I had no probs starting her to cut that really nice piece of red oak:

It was less than 200lbs

The freak is @Moparmyway's saw. 230 or 240 psi 066

I think Kevin sent it up for us to play with and I dyno'd it maybe?
"Saw starter" @paragonbuilder kept starting saws and handing 'em to people... so I didn't get the chance to try starting it.
We had a hell of a time and excited for the next one coming up in May!

Deets I did run the saw you sent at my own house -- this is Bill, Lee, and Dan running it:

Well dang I knew I should have tried starting the saw you guys called "the freak". I think that one was there too... Was that a ridiculous compression saw?
My old 064 was a 288 piston saw so it was 175 or 180lb .
I gave that cylinder to a friend who's been falling trees with it for a year.

I enjoyed running that thing -- that saw was like the working girl that every guy at the GTG worked ;)
I ran the unicorn at the last GTG and still liked the way that 064 ran better. Your buddy must be psyched to have it.

I ported a 460 for a guy that had done some grinding on it and it ran good but the exhaust was free ported without machine work so the only way I could fix the free port and cut the chamber to get some compression was a 064 piston
I should have cut some crown off but instead I cut it all from the chamber.
I knew I'd have to open the chamber to loose compression but I didn't think it would be this high, yes I did run it like this for scientific purposes.
