Not sure. They (Cutter's Choice) still sell the Laser brand with the same numbering system but there has been a lot of consolidation in the chain manufacturing industry. I doubt the current offering is the same. I haven't purchased chain from Cutter's Choice for quite some time.

If starter cover and rear handle are original on the 262 it looks likely a KS 87 variety. No decomp? He's gonna love running that. Elastostart is a nice upgrade on 262s with compression in the 230+ range. May have to get one for mine!

That is one nice looking 044 Jason. New covers and recoil on it? He should be one happy man. Now, that elastostart would be a good edition to my 394, don't you think??!! Lol

A 230lb 90cc saw is a much harder starting saw than a 60cc at 230lb but still not terrible.

The 185lb hybrid i built David Young is the only saw to get me in a long time.
It got me almost every time I started it
