the 545 is a awesome i have ran both and i cant tell any difference between the two but i was cutting 17-18 inch wood with it.

I guess I'm weird, I actually like the grey, if I ever get a 562 it's gonna get the same treatment. But to me it's not about what the saw looks like but how it runs and how enjoyable and easy it is to use. Color means nothing, if Its a proven design and it's priced right it's going in the truck, or in my case the shelf with all the others. Lol

For some they're more of a fashion statement than a tool that gets used.

I agree. Im one that will use mine but I wont abuse it because I dont earn a living with it and cant afford to tear them up yearly and buy new ones as compared to someone using them daily and sees them as disposable and replaceable. This is a hobby for me and I enjoy tinkering, restoring, maintaining, porting of my saws as its relaxing for me and I use my saws but maintain and keep them like new. Heck when my Cannon bars finish wears off I reblue them!! Lol! Thats the finish from the factory is gun bluing and thats an option for anyone thats strips a bar to the metal is bluing

clutch cover was changed to 545 cover.

I like the gray myself. I understand why some people don't. To me it sets off nice against the Orange.
