Help me decide 550xp or 545

I've also got almost everything to build a 550 except for a good case and a clutch cover. The case I have is busted.

Actually the only thing wrong with it that I can see is that the ear where the brake handle bolts too is broken off the case on the starter side. Otherwise it's probably useable.

i wouldn't worry about it run it with out the brake.

If you have both pieces have it welded back together. I know several people have done some amazing work like putting fins back on cylinders...Scarr52 has done some for me that was top notch.

Yes Don. Exactly the same. The 545 does not have stuffers, or rev boost. Aside from that.......same saw.

That's what I thought Randy. I'd sure rather have the 545.
