Go back to your dealer. Pick up a few loops of the new .325 Stihl RS Pro nk .050 chain. Maybe even an 8 pin rim. It is by far the fastest box chain setup there is for 50cc or smaller saws.
Your 241 will scream!

What is the part #s for the bar and chain. Would love to give it a try on my 250.

The 365 or 325 Stihl or Oregon square filed is as fast as it gets imo. Both come in 050 NK and I've ran both on my stock 435 Husky for years. Mostly use Oregon NK 050 full chisel full comp round @25* top plate. Wood determines the depth gauges bite. New loops sharpened are set a 0.018-0.025 depth.

Limbing saws get 35* top plate.

I'll get you the Stihl 16 043 mini and 18" 050 standard bar snap shot. Two new ones sitting here with some parts.

One thing that I’ll have to be mindful of is getting this little saw pinched and not reefing in it like we do with our saws, knowing how this 241 only has one bar bolt.
I’ve had nothing but fueling issues with the first 550XP after 3 trips back to the dealer I sold it and bought another and I had the same issues with it, sold it also and am now on my 4th 543xp and they’ve been fantastic saws so fingers crossed the 241 will be as nice of saw.
My only hope now is to hopefully find someone who might be able to share some ideas of what and what not to do with these engines in regards to porting. I won’t allow myself to go too extreme on numbers when removing material until I see the results of maybe just going 1 degree at a time but it would be nice to know maybe the right direction to start with.
In regards to getting you a 242, the local dealers I called up here in SW Ontario, there’s still 2 left. I think most guys were going to the 261 instead but I will sacrifice a bit of weight for the reduced power bug hopefully doing a bit of work to the engine will possibly make up the difference
I wonder what the cost and shipping would be to NJ.
Are they Mtron 1 or 2 up there, idk myself.
Mtron 3 is on most of the saws here on shelves.

That looks like Really nice chain. From the bit of reading I did on it, it’s available in full and semi chisel ??

almost look square ground. I’m definitely going to be calling both dealers Monday morning asking about it. This will still fit on the .325” laminate bars ?

As an aside, why does Stihl use .063 gauge on small saws? I don't see what the advantage would be, unless I am just missing something.
Haha I’ve often wondered the same thing. I’ve been running 36” 3/8” 0.50” full chisel on my 066 since I got that demo saw in 98, and if anything that much power could use .063” but not on a small powerhead.

OK. Let's see here...
Kenny! Have you run the new Stihl .325 RD Pro nk chain yet?
How can anyone judge without running it?
I am sure you really liked the chain you mentioned here. Probably runs pretty dam good. BUT... Ya gotta run the new Stihl .325 RS pro chain before casting judgement.

Not sure if the RS Pro NK chain fits that particular bar.

I believe the .325 NK RS PRO is fill chisel only. The RS means full. I have not seen nor do I know if there is RM PRO chain.

it’s not even listed on Stihl Canada’s website. I called my dealer who still has my one MS241 and he’s trying to track it down.

Nice! Is the MS 241 ported? I run my ported 261cm with an 8 tooth
with .325 chain.

Well no their not, I’ve been running for our ground saws the past 7yrs or so the little huskys 543xp and absolutely love them. I just found a good deal on a new in box 2014 543xp and bought it up. Then was reading up on how much guys liked these little MS241 Uey they’d been discontinued so i went hunting last week and was lucky enough to get a decent deal on a pair of them from 2 local dealers. But my plan is to see what I can do with 1 of the 241’s and leave the other stock to use as a baseline. I prefer 16” bars on these smaller saws tho so we’ll see. I just trying to get setup with right hand hand piece for my old Foredom and cutters before I’m ready to get going but I’m sure looking forward to blowing the dust off my degree wheel and learn what I can about these engines

Yes Thank you i certainly will. I’m grateful to be here knowing there’s good people willing to help get me back on my feet. I’m not looking to build race, just to wake them up and take them to the next level would be great

In case anyone, like me, stumbles at this topic when looking for best Ms 241 combo, I'll add my experience, I bought the thing used, the chain and bar were trashed so got a cheap 16" Oregon bar and 3/8 LP (picco) chain, using it just felt wrong, the saw didn't slow down in cut at all, neither did it cut faster when I pushed harder, if I were to make a guess, the chain was getting clogged with chips on anything larger than 10" (cutting fairly soft pine), in addition, the chain stretched a lot faster than I'd like, and it expanded a lot when cutting larger logs (hanging loose for a while after a cut till it cooled down)
Now running .325 with an 18" bar (nice not to have to lean) and it feels much better, cuts quite a bit faster too (3/8 35cm log took 15s, .325 took around 10s) with a 7t ring drive (pretty much identical diameter as picco 6t spur removed) also, only had to tension the chain slightly once in the 2 tanks of fuel used, had to do the same 3 times when using the small stuff.
Picco might be quite a bit faster with a larger cog imo, as the saw seems to have ample grunt for it, but it's a bit on the edge of making sense to use a low profile chain with this saw, .325 is just a tad wider, has more cutters and quite a bit beefier drivers, I'd save lp for stuff 35cc and under.
