Yes they are actually processing at a reasonable time frame, I had a guy buy a couple suppressors a few weeks ago & was approved in 2 days, we submitted on Friday at 5:30 he was approved Tuesday morning at 10 a.m, hope they keep this up.

I would like to think it will continue but at the end of the day it is still a guberment bureaucracy & efficiency is something they thrive at or seem to try to achieve.

I keep coming back to the idea of making a Colt 635 lookalike SBR. I've always thought a short barrel is a step backwards for a bottleneck rifle cartridge, but just right for a pistol caliber carbine.

SBR are great, I built this one years ago, 6 5/8 barrel, classic A1 upper, 4 pos stock, cut and fused a set of handguards to fit, cerakoting done by me, it's one of my favorite noise makers, of course had to have the classic 3 prong flash hider even though you can't hide the flash on this, it's a fire breather and gets lots of attention on the range.

I am just starting to research building an AR platform SBR. When you file the paperwork to SBR an AR lower I believe you have to specify what caliber it is. So are you locked in to only that caliber or is it legal to swap on whatever caliber upper you want to?

No you can swap calibers & even barrel lengths, once registered, most AR receivers are marked as multi on the caliber, so if yours is marked multi use that, make sure you use the new e-file system, it's a faster approval, if you need help getting your digital prints & how to fill out your form just send me a PM and I'll help you out.

Go all the way and cut the barrel down to where the bullet nose is sticking out of the muzzle!

My brother's buddy built an AK with a 5" barrel it was pretty much like that, that dam thing would shoot fireballs out the muzzle atleast 3 feet, I'll see if I can dig up a pic of it, that thing was a blast to shoot.

The first set came on a Browning x-bolt, marked as L’s, 1” tube sizing, missing one base mounting bolt the other 7 are included & has the torx wrench. All the ring bolts are there. I put on some H’s to accommodate the scope I had.





The second set is for a Savage 111 :

These are medium height, have all 4 base mounting bolts, the wrench & all the ring bolts are there.

A sale plate for an modified MKM powder cup.
and a 223 adapter for a RCBS funnel.
The RCBS funnel is marketed for 22 through 50 but for 22 it sucks.

Found an older, faded target up with some room left, so I shot my G43 for the first time yesterday. This is 5 shots at about 12 paces back. This little pistol impressed me. Very accurate for its short barrel length.

Yep, my Glock 42's are quite accurate also. If you reload, try some Berry's plated slugs. Never met a Glock that wouldn't shoot 'em lights out.

I'm apart of a couple reloading groups and while I was hunting for a 223/556 I came across a brand called First Breach based in Maryland USA.

It's priced seemed right for primed brass.

About 30 minutes after I nominated myself as a guinea pig and placing an ordered a fellow member noted he had tried it a few years ago. In his experience the primers did not stay in the brass, even at low pressures for the cartridge. He attempted to make contact with the company with no avail.

I had shot about 20 rounds and working up a load. Ten of those being my final load. It was warm but not entirely Max from both book data and simulation software. Once they were fired I attempted to reload the spent cases. The brass was most definitely soft and the reloading dies were cutting into the brass. I have reloaded multiple other brands in mass with the same set of dies. To ensure it wasn't my fault I ensured the dies were cleaned and lubed everything. However the same issues persisted.

I figured since the primers were staying in the ladder workup I would just treat them as once shot and not worry about picking it up (As they were factory primed brass and I didn't want to waste.)

I went on to load 60 rounds to ensure everything ran well.
The powder was dispensed via my matchmaster on match setting so loads were within .04 grs. My standard deviation on the load workup was 10 FPS so they should all relatively be exactly the same.

Of those sixty. I shot 30 today. Inside of that 30, I had three primers eject themselves from their cases. While not showing any serious signs of overpressure on the brass itself. So I've just put a full stop on reloading anymore.

So if you see first breach brass and are thinking about it. Please consider that the same issue another consumer had 3 years ago has still not been resolved.

The lines on the cases is from the reloading die. As far as pressures, there is the slightest kiss of an ejector mark. I have taken lake City brass with Magnum primers to the same and greater velocity on the same powder and projectiles.

Any damages to the rims are from the reloading press where it was refusing to be a smooth transition and the cases trying to stick in the dies.

Sounds like they are not hardened properly. Try heating the unprimed brass to 500* F and let them cool slowly, then try again. They are definitely sounding too soft. 223/556 brass is pretty common, so really would just throw in the brass bucket. Skip the heat treat. What did you pay for them if I may ask?

I paid $93.75 for 250 that was including shipping and tax. From the looks of the primers they were probably federal match.
I'm not even going to bother trying anything with it.

I was originally looking for a large matching batch of lake city but it seemed, At least at the time of purchase, most of the good deals dried up.
Then started looking to buy Lapua but it seems they haven't made a run in at least a year.
That's when I came across this brand, without any information out there I talked with others and they had no experience with them either.

This morning I ended up order 500 pieces of once fired federal so that would be well off enough since I know is a decent brand for 223/556.
