Sure looks Glockish to me. Sucks that they don't use the same mags tho.
Tried out a couple of smith ezs View attachment 347178
Nice pistols but I prefer the shield plus
Those czs are very nice pistols
I'll have to get one eventually.
Good deal on that one. Everybody needs at least one in the safe. When you're hot, you're hot. I went to a pawn and jewelry place today to pay off a gift for the wifey in layaway. That done, I browsed the gun selection and found a really nice late model Ruger 10-22. They had it stickered at $259.00. I asked the lady what her low price was, considering I just dropped a chunk on something sparkly. She said $219.00 out the door, so it came home with me.
The serial number dates to 2015 but it looks way newer than that. I disassembled it and was shocked at the apparent lack of use. All the internals were clean as a whistle and the metal parts showed very little wear. In fact, other than the usual rub mark from the hammer on the back of the bolt, everything inside could pass for new. I was expecting at least a little powder fouling but couldn't find any. Even the inside of the mag is clean. The barrel has some dust in it, so I guess this gun has spent most of its life in a closet or something. There was a tiny spot of surface rust on the barrel that came off with a bit of oil, otherwise the finish is as new. Hopefully I can get it properly dirty tomorrow!

Glad to hear you finally found another .45-70.Since I sold my Marlin 1895 a few years ago, the lack of a .45-70 has been a yawning chasm in my arsenal. The rifle I really want is a Henry Golden Boy, but I'm itching for a .45-70 too badly to save up for one. I figured I would get an H&R Handi Rifle to scratch the itch in the meantime, so I started bidding on some on GB. Even total beaters are going for over $300.00 and you have to add shipping and transfer on top of that. I put out feelers on Cast Boolits to see if anybody had one. One gentleman offered me a late model Handi in really nice condition for $400.00 face to face. While pondering that, another guy said he had a 2022 model Henry single shot for $400.00 plus shipping. It already has Skinner sights on it, which are around $80.00 by themselves. That sounds like a way better deal than anything with the H&R name on it, so we sealed the deal. Hopefully I can get my hands on it in a week or so.
I agree completely on the .45-70 loads. I shoot mostly trapdoor loads in my Winchester 1885 High Wall. 300gr lead bullets and Unique are a good combination. If I want to punish myself, I stoke up some 405gr loads. Thanks bro. My wife has a stainless 10-22 with
blue laminate stock I got her before we were married. Its seriously the only gun she has ever expressed interest in and said she wanted.
I'm planning to try trapdoor level loads with Unique first in the new .45-70. There's no need for anything stronger just for deer in the thick woods, and there's no point in pouring 50+ grains of expensive and hard to replace rifle powder in each round.
