I thought most bars were forged or stamped. Sound like that one was cast . . .

Very little paint seems to hold up over prolonged periods of usage. Heck, even the guide bar OEM's haven't found one...LOL!

That's what I was thinking. So if I wanted to paint one I better not tie up too much tie or money lol

I have done that to one bar already looks real good

The first one I did looked spastic but after awhile you can make an even pattern and it looks good. I clamp them to the welding table at work and try not to position my self in the line of fire.

@Glock37 has powdered a couple. I have a 32" that we powdered but it hasn't seen any wood yet. It definetly looks and feels like it should hold up pretty good! Much better than what I see on some bars! I'll post a picture tomorrow of it.
