Look close where the piston crown meets the exhaust port roof.

Perhaps it's a failed attempt to emulate a piston prechamber like on some diesels .I don't think it will work .

Well face it .This stuff is just common sense it's not rocket science and it's not black magic although some claim it to be . You can't fix the danged things by getting a bigger hammer .--mumble grumble---

Crome plating starting to peel where the cylinder wall was upset by the crude piston stop. Wouldn’t last Long with just a new piston & rings. [emoji90]
