Well if I can get a hand with the Metric system I'll do what I can and measure some stuff I have here. My cousin was over for coffee this morning he just had a quadruple bypass surgery. He's rebuilding carburetors too, to keep busy.
I will pm you a copy of my chart stump

Bud, seems we have a plan :)

Your cousin went through alot more then what I had to do.
My biggest problem is that I forget to set down the walk pace.

That's just the half of it. A little over a year ago he had a hernia, turned out it was because his insides were so full of cancer it started pushing out on him, so he goes to get hernia fixed, doc says no you're going on chemo first. He was 2 days from death, turned it around and beat the cancer. Goes back to doctor to get hernia repaired Doc says no, you need open heart surgery and four by passes. Now they are trying to get him back on schedule with follow up cancer treatments. Poor fella, he says the bad part is the hernia hurts him the worst.
He was the guy that got me into repairing power saws. Saw some potential in me and brought over a pile of junk saws for me to fix. Kinda my mentor you could say.

Had a visit from the guy who is testing out my ported 242, had done two different airfilter modds.
OEM filter has opening around 13 mm who is actually venturi size.
My two different airfilter modds where 15mm and close to 17mm (butterfly size), there was a noticable difference between them.
Something for us to remember when we modd a 242 or 254.

Would like to see what you did there some time when you're up to it.

This is one OEM filter, not modded.
I always try to dremmel this hole up, as close as possible to butterfly size (17mm)

This part also get a bit work with my dremmel:

I didn't expect any difference from a half modded airfilter to a full modded airfilter, in the future I will go for 17mm all the time.

Glad to see you are keeping busy Tor. You sound like me in that you can't just sit around and take it easy. Hope you continue to get your stamina back. Take care.
