In my observations using semi chisel chain on a particular saw I have noticed it requires much more power from the PH to get pulled through the wood than full chisel does.

Also, compared to full chisel semi chisel is quite unwilling to take a proper bite in hardwoods (turkey oak on my case) no matter how well it is sharpened.

Semi chisel has its place, no doubt - I simply do not like its performance.

I buck skidded firewood logs that tend to be covered in dirt and have stones embedded in their bark, I still prefer full chisel.

Semi is not very self feeding.. Totally agree.
