My K2 is bright red.... a little diesel dye goes a long ways.
Many times I just mix at 45:1 and then add a splash of whatever other mix I have that has more dye in it. I often have other mixes that I buy cheaper or have people give me, sometimes in saw deals that I don't want to run straight(like stihl ultra), works great and it all gets used up or given to friends that don't care.

hose sharing hasnt ever worked out for me... lol
Same pipe keeps my whistle wet, cattle from dying of thirst, clothes washed, dishes done, floor mopped, stench somewhat off my body, and equipment washed.

I'm assuming the concern over fuel hose sharing is due to the chance of getting a dose of ethanol, due to the hose holding the last customers fuel choice.

The QT station I go to has separate hoses for the ethanol blend and the non-blended fuel.
I buy my fuel in a county away from the big city locations.
The big city (claimed non-E-blended) fuel smells a lot like male cat piss and damages carburetor diaphragms anyway.
Thus why I go out of that county for my fuel. I drive about 4000 miles a year now, so not too much of an issue to drive a little for the fuel difference
