What's the purpose of this little gadget?
Must be the stuff you mill. I'm lucky to get 2 cuts with a hd2 and a cover. Without a cover it still sucks chips in.Checked the hd2 filter on my milling 660 ,after about 20 tanks it was not bad ,just some on the top center in the pleats all the rest was real clear still ,running the plastic cover on it .it has the outerwear on it also .
the stuff i mill is usually a done the day i fall it ,or within the week so it is pretty wet ,keeps the dust down .Must be the stuff you mill. I'm lucky to get 2 cuts with a hd2 and a cover. Without a cover it still sucks chips in.
Even wet hardwoods make small chips that pack in. The softest stuff I milled was poplar down about a week. It was like cutting butter. Still was packing up but not near as quick.the stuff i mill is usually a done the day i fall it ,or within the week so it is pretty wet ,keeps the dust down .
which sprocket cover do you run ? I run the short one ,it throws the chips away from the saw to the left better than the full wrap cover .the full one throws them back at the log, may help my mill on tracks helps alsoEven wet hardwoods make small chips that pack in. I've got both. Now mostly the large one. I won't be using my 46 much for milling any more any way if I can get a 394 together.which sprocket cover do you run ? Stihls. Not a 394/5. I can't keep from selling all of mine. I haven't had a running one since 2014Hmm, never have a problem with a 395 filter. I'll run out of energy before I need to clean the filter.

I've still got a couple more people wanting one if I part with any more.
Exactly. I'm going to try to keep this last 394 I'm putting togetherI haven't built any recently, seems builders have dried up. I'm not paying $400 for something that still needs $300 in parts.
I'll give to @Redbull661 he definitely has got balls it seems no test is insignificantI laughed my ass off when you hit it with the torch!
