With the lack of cold weather in TN this year, you can’t give it away. Too much work for people. Our forestry division issues firewood permits on the WMA I manage. Last year they issued quite a few, but the trees have to be down already. I cut 20-25 nice firewood trees right next to the road and they haven’t been touched. We may go back and load them up if no one is going to get them this year. Took nice to let rot!
Are Alabama residents eligible for those tree's you cut down?
As far as I know, yes. I don’t think there are any residence requirements. I just wouldn’t mention it, lol!
That’s a long ass drive for wood. Sharps Chapel, TN is in the middle of BFE.
There's a couple kinfolks close and a few nice lakes/creeks.

We have some downed trees that are good for firewood. We also have some dead and live trees that need to be cut down. We only ask that you take everything away. We have a nice old driveway that provides easy access.
There is a mixture of hardwoods - quite a bit of ash. This property has been logged a few times, so loggers won't find anything valuable. These trees are great for firewood, though. We have more than we can ever use. No need to email about whether we still have the wood available. We have 12 acres of forest.
