Not when it’s -3 with the windchill factor like it is today up on the hill. I used to use the muffler to warm my hands up when it got real bad last year without heated handles lol.

That's when I'm glad I don't HAVE to go out and cut!

That being said, I don't even get those gloves out till it's 10 or below. My hands run warm anyway, so I don't typically need much glove.

I knew it! Someone would post a picture of their favorite gloves! It’s all good:)

Seeing all the rare heated saws that people are posting is awesome.

I also wish the 2260wh would’ve been sold in the us. The fact that it wasn’t is what made me nervous about the Jonsered line. Still have a heated 3/4 wrap for a 2260 if I ever get another saw and get the conversion parts from a 562xpg to make it heated.

Anyone know if you can get a 6100h Makita?

Noob question, what's heating those handles?
Exhaust gas? Electricity? And does it impact performance? The coldest it gets here is about -7 C for less then a week. +10C on average. If it's even colder (I ones saw -18C one night 8 years ago) it's time to go ice skating with the kids. No time for cutting wood.
So I've never even seen heated handles in real life.

Generally electricity from a generator by the flywheel. You can turn it on or off with a switch. Looks like some of those older models used exhaust gas though.

I wouldn't be surprised. But we'll have to see how many he has when he jumps in here. I've got a few more than the 4 I posted pics of. :)

If you look at @Tor R signature here it gives you an idea of just how many. Sounds like virtually no saws get sold in Norway without heat. I count 24 that aren't projects...

Then there's my favorite 2 small heated saws; 242XPG and 444SG. I know the dark top doesn't belong on the 242, but just to make it look a little different next to the regular 242's. And it was the only top end I had when I built the saw, which had taken a hit. The 444 is totally stock and strong; surprises everyone who tries it.

That 444 is amazing, it is tough to believe how old it is.

Heated is pretty much a must for cutting around here in the winter. I have 2 - 661 Arctic, 3 - 461 Arctic, 1 - 462 Arctic and 4 - 362 Arctic (the 362’s really only get used for teaching basic chainsaw courses).

I have a few saws that are not heat, they usually get the winter off lol

Most of what I own is not really that special. Most of them ain't pretty either.
I had one favourite, a 242 xpg cat (modded that *s-word away fast) year 95, she got a few other mods on the way, and she was defently my favourite saw.
Someone stole her (the one to the right is another 242):
_DSC3423.jpg

After this I got a bit busy to purchase substitutes for the stolen 242, that brings me over to my current favourite...
This 242G year 1989 followed the 242 xpg 95, supposed to be a part saw, she had served in a logging company years before, wasn't reliable either. Since I was kinda down to just that one I fixed her up with new fuel lines, seals, Randy shared his 242 recipe to me.

In the meanwhile I had got a couple 242's, got no time to test drive her, so I borrowed her out to a tree company, they abused her for 2 month before they returned her back.
Now and then I use her to buck oak with, a saw I didn't expect anything from seems to last far longer then I ever expected her to do, stuff like that makes me smile.

I've not seen many of those for sale, maybe 5 globally last 4 years, don't think they where a big seller, far as I know their cover decal never got a part number:
