I traded my MiniMac and $20 or $40 for my 262XP. Nice pic!
That Mac sat buried under a workbench in the garage for at least 15 years... probably longer. When I dug it out, it still had fuel in it (pre-E I would guess) and it fired in about 6 pulls. I cleaned it up and rebuilt the carb. It runs great and sees at lot of use around the yard. At this point I see no reason to get rid of it.

Oh, I liked mine. I just wanted that 262 and the guy that had it wanted the MiniMac, so a deal was made. It was a Mac 110. Good running little saw.

For the record, everyone of those saws run on 40:1 TruFuel. Most have not been used since last spring; the 162SE hasn't been run in over 2 years. All of them except the 162 fired on 3-5 pulls. The 162 took about a dozen or so, but that's ok because she's become a shelf queen due to sentimental reasons. I thinking it's time to grab an OEM decomp cylinder for the 288 as it's a bear to pull over.

gees they all have a fair shine on them!! you use AmourAll or something?
No magic elixir... just try to keep 'em clean. I blow everything off and wipe them down when done using them. They're stored in cases too.

From what i can see theese saws i dont think that have see wood in theirs lifes
They've all been used. I don't cut regularly so they don't see a lot of use.

The 162SE was bought new in 1982 and cut 6-10 cord per year until around 1990.

The 36 is about 10 yrs old and the 235 about 5. They just see use around the yard.

The the 562 and 550 were bought in 2013 to replace the 162 and 36.

The rest are basically toys acquired since then but they do see some use when I help friends or relatives.

My family portrait of saws looks more like that one family that everyone has living somewhere near them. It's that family of a whole bunch of brothers and each one of them has battle wounds from a rough life, some with missing teeth or even limbs but their a badass family and no one messes with them.

Not that it matters, but I doubt a 36 is only 10 years old, as the model was replaced by the 136 in 1997/1998?
Very well may be... I can't think back that far! ;)
