Don't let em slide. Killem all and let god sort em out.
Nope. Only right way to do it is wait till high noon and hit it WFO with a trimmer. R.I.P.Take your power saw and cut into that thing and see what's inside .
last summer we had a wasp nest about the same size at the OP's next to an RTU that we had to work on at one of our buildings...(was too close to where we were working) and we didn't have any regular spray, but we happened to have the fire extinguisher company on site to change out expired extinguishers...got at huge CO2 extinguisher from him, froze the whole thing with a good inch of ice on it, trapping them in...ripped it off and threw it in a bag! This stuff will wipe em out, make sure you hit the hole. when can is empty run like hell just in case.

Yeah they don't play around and will lay a whoopin' on you.oh no i had the owners call a pest control business to eradicate the nest since there is children living next door better safe than sorry.
i already had a sortie with ground yellow jackets but i killed them with a 1:1 mix of malathon and gasoline.Yeah they don't play around and will lay a whoopin' on you.
I hate yellow jackets worse than anything. By the time you see them it's usually too late. Then you make the 100yd dash with whatever equipment your holding, because you know you aren't going back after it.i already had a sortie with ground yellow jackets but i killed them with a 1:1 mix of malathon and gasoline.
Starting fluid will work, if it's all you have. I always try to keep a couple of cans of bee spray in the truck though. If the carb cleaner doesn't work you could always try brake cleaner.
LOL, not me, I left a stihl 460 running after I dropped a huge honeybee tree. They were up in the top in the trunk. when it hit the ground they came out, I ran like a stripped ass ape to the truck. sit there and watched the bees and the saw run. When they calmed down I gathered my stuff up and hit the road.I hate yellow jackets worse than anything. By the time you see them it's usually too late. Push mower and a trimmer is what I normally use to locate them. Lol.Whats fun is when you find one of them underground nest by those little yellow jackets, is get the push mower and put the throttle wide open and roll it on the nest and leave it and sit back and watch the carnage.
I do something like that. Instead of pads soaked with alcohol, I just put the bag in a co-workers car. That wasp freeze is the only wasp spray I have seen that drops em fast as gas does. You should have got that thing this winter. We put garbage bags on them on cold mornings and cut off and tie bag. cut slits and add a couple couple pads soaked with alcohol and a couple days later. Presto. instant nest to hang up in shop.
