I just hope we get them done in 1 day, we should..I'm not grinding the stumps.
Yeah, just the clean up looks like alot of work. I can a least get tractors and such and close roads in parks. All those damn limbs make a mess for clean up.
How many guys you got on a job like that?

Finished last Saturdays job today. The little f350 that could, 2.5 tons of wood chips on board. Towing 3 tons of firewood.
Years ago, I had my off road 1992 F150 with modified suspension and 36"Super Swampers with chains all around out on a woodlot I used to own. It had a big old Warn 8000lb winch on the front. Really great for getting firewood. What have you done on that F350 (suspension beefed up?) and what motor/tranny gears? Looks like a really handy rig! I like it.

Man even those f150s like your old truck were legit. Tough! My truck has 4:10 gears. Automatic bit it was all built up and built by a custom diesel shop owner in town, a reputable guy and place. 6 inch lift they did, stacked blocks. But haven't had any problems. I have overloads for it have not put them on yet. But the truck is built like a tank, reminds me of a old d-6 dozer or something. The newer diesels will beat it in a race, But this old 7.3 moves down the road really well, and just pulls like an old teactor, that deep steady grown, steady and easy and doesn't feel like it's going to break or blow up. Like my old 6.0 my 6.0 was a legit truck, but pulling hard it always felt like something was going to come loose under the hood, just wound up and spooled up high and hard. But my 7.3 just has a steady grown and pull, love it. Just got a 2002 f350 7.3 with a manual 6 speed. 4x4 so got the best of both worlds now.

Now you just have to be careful not to be overloaded...easy to do as you well know.

I just came in from cutting up firewood with the 440. My truck is overloaded but it is just being moved in the yard. Under pressure...they say we have plowable snow coming. Now my rigor mortis is kicking in now that I am grabbing a coffee.

Truth. Easy to do:) sure been a cold winter here. Sounds like thick snow. 440 is a fantastic saw!

Nothing too cool, just a little side job...got to try out version 2 of my 500i/660 hybrid saw. Version 1 was just proof that the concept would work, yet wasn't a huge improvement over stock, version 2 pulls really well on the stump...I'm pumped on the results.

That's why I like the Cummins w/ 6 speed manual in my Dodge. Some of the newer V8 trucks have wider powerbands, but it pulls well without me having to shift much. It isn't stock, but I didn't go crazy with the power, as you can only shift a 6 speed truck transmission so fast...also didn't want to have to upgrade a bunch of stuff chasing reliability. Some "stuff" from the exhaust may have "fallen off," and it's tuned...only thing I had to do was upgrade the flywheel and clutch...it's been rock solid ever since.
