Jeez, dude, can you be any more cryptic? LOL I know you gotta protect your peeps. You probably don't want a bud who does you a solid getting buried under requests from random knuckleheads on the interwebz...

Intrigued by this Echo. I mentioned somewhere in this thread, (may have been the firewood marking tool thread), that I wanted a dedicated 70cc class saw. Just for the wood pile. Seems like this may fit the bill with a 24'' lightweight bar. Between this an old 032/av, and a 029 super, that would be enough saw power to keep my firewood production at a premium volume without beating on one saw. The rest of the fleet stays out of the log pile save the really big wood.

I'll be watching this saw for a month or two more before cutting season takes full swing.

I found out too late. Now I wish I had bought a 5000 instead of my echo 490
I had a Makita EA5000P and sold it for the 490.The Makita was bulky, felt like the Echo 590 in my hands but down on power. It was a very well built saw but it din't sit right on me.Plus that there are no parts for them anywhere, not that i needed any, just saying.I hate to not be able to buy an air filter locally.490 is very light, very solid and starts like a joke.I really like it after a muffler mod and 20 tanks after.

I heard that the wrap version will be out in June at a gtg yesterday. There was a modded 7310 there that was a strong contender amongst far more modified saws, it is the one Echo I wanna get.
havent heard that but i would give a left nut to get the standard 7310's that have been on order since the first of January.

So how did echo get away from strato with this new model? Everyone always says the epa forces these companies to change but it didn’t affect the cs7310. Im confused?

Maybe credits from the bazillion blowers and weedwackers they sell.
