Thank you! You have to keep in mind the saws use. IMHO! You can be more agressive with a wood cutters saw and they will see a long life of use out of it.I like how your approaching this one with longevity in mind. A ported saw could last a long time if done right. I'd say your on the right track
Is it a bucking saw? Ok my opinionNow for this build I really like to talk the saw over with my customers and try and figure out what's best for them. He will be using this as a tree service saw running anywhere from a 24-36" bar. O ya!!!! Let's see if we can being a smile to his face! So for this saw it's throttled back just a hair and I will try to show ya as we go threw the build what I mean.
Where is Randy? I know nothing, but it's looking good!Well Dammit I'm hoping others will join in here. I like group build threads and discussions. I always learn from them!
And....I do have the saw this far back together but here's where it gets sketchy! I had a jack up! Lol. Ya'll are gonna laugh at me! View attachment 17246
Randys is knee deep, hand throbbing deep in a pile of Solos right now! I'm sure he will be along shortly!Where is Randy? I know nothing, but it's looking good!

Absolutely I will!Damn nice work. Hope you're gonna put up a video after it's all buttoned up.
Well I can. I can wrap it up tomorrow. I'll just cut the whole front of the old muffler off and call it good!As I said, I can wait. Did you ship it yet? Thanks!
Good luck. I've been on the look out for a shelf queen for awhile. I think you would like these 665 hybrids!I wouldn't mind having a 681
I will shut up and let you do your fine work!! I see chainsaw envy coming to Roscommon, MI. No Rush at all, will enjoy watching. ThanksWell I can. I can wrap it up tomorrow. I'll just cut the whole front of the old muffler off and call it good!
You don't value your customers ears anywhere in a 1 mile vesenity do you?
Thank god stihl and husky have aftermarket exhaust for cheep. Wishe the aftermarket companies could make em for echo that are a 2 piece for easy moddingHere's my hold up. I ran out of fuel line as I'm replacing all of them but I didn't catch the muffler being cracked. Bent dosnt bother me but cracked is unacceptable for a saw that I sold. So I will grab some fuel line and new starter rope tomorrow but I had to order a new muffler. That's gonna drive @Duce nuts knowing I'm this close! Lol. View attachment 17247
I will agree with this. And some of the aftermarket ones are built better!Thank god stihl and husky have aftermarket exhaust for cheep. Wishe the aftermarket companies could make em for echo that are a 2 piece for easy modding
