Terrible wheel condition, didn't dress the grey one for grinding the small drill bit, but had to dress the white one to get a good grind on the large drill.

They turned out OK I guess.

Freehand, no support, no jig, no aid.

What can I say, I was bored. :)

Nice.

I received my dressing tools the other day. The grind wheels are in good shape and all the bits are sharp. I'm bored! :(

Just to clarify!

These are the wheels at work, NOT mine at home. 😌

Did You do the "Cross-Cut" (flute relief) and the "4-Corner Cut" (outer cutter relief)?

No!

Get going!!!

I know!
My Cross-Cut is crap, needs to go further "in" a couple tenths to intersect the flutes center.

Awesome! Did you wear your fancy new pants for sharpening?

They are still here. I've some good weather neighbors that might like them. Spring thaw is here, so I might get to give them away. Else drop them off at some thrift store.

Had to sharpen a bit this morning. It was polishing a pilot hole drilled just prior. Drilled like new once sharpened. Best new skill this year.
Kind of nice, being able to just walk up to the grinder to touch up the bit, eh?

Sure is better than leaning hard on the bit, and then having to remember to buy an overpriced bit next time I go to the HW store. And it took less than a minute to sharpen.
