. You sayin your 1100 would jam as in not eject the spent shell? What caused it ? My buddy has one doing that. I recall cleaning it up no luck.... I suspect it's o rings ? Just kinda curious. If so are they any trouble to change?Growing up in Az. we hunted doves alot. I have seen times my 1100 was a single shot for 30-40 rounds. Hundreds of thousands of birds. My Dad and I would go through 500 rounds a week on average. Our guns were in the back window of my truck at school, and we wouldmeet at the fields after school. Try that today.

I agree the 1100 I speak of is a good friends. My "clean" and his clean are two different things. He does a fine job cleaning his things but I think his lube of choice is too heavy. I've never replaced o rings on an 1100 as I personally don't have one. However I have cleaned them and I don't like any extra oil in there just a slick of oil If the gun gets wet it's time to do again. When we bust it out to shoot targets it gets about two sessions then cleaned up again. However now if only ejects extremely heavy loads I think all the extra lube has broken the o rings down. It's to the point I am considering buying him a set. I love Remington's
