The old matte 1187 that I bought in 1989. Has been shot thousands of times to this day. I do have to clean it about every 1.200 shells. ( light loads ) It will shoot up to 10 boxes a day so far. ( It likes the 3" shells better ) AKA. The Remington 3" nitro magnums. Number 2's

Aren't 3" number 2's a little tough on Dove?

I guess they would be a little hard on doves. LOL Guess I didn't word that very well. I only shoot 7 1/2 s for doves that I had reloaded. 99% of what I shoot with that gun anymore is the 7 1/2 s at skeet or doves. The 2 s were used for turkey hunting and varmints. The 1187 patterned them very good, much better than my 870 or my 1100 3" which I no longer own the 1100. ( wish I did though! )
