What is the story on these pistons?

Advertised as 14g lighter and a decent compression boost. Honestly adding the pop-up with a 3g weight savings is impressive.

Dominant vs. meteor single ring.

Meteor is often heavier than oem. Maybe they used the double ring oem piston as the comparison as that's what 99% of 372's are. Just speculating

Checked timing just for the hay of it. 101/122/75. I'm tempted to lower the intake but I think I'll leave it for now.

Sounds pretty good as is. I bet alil widening intake and exhaust and she will rumble!!

86.185 is the oem double ring weight.

Lighten her underneath alil. I understand its not what was advertised though but is uasually the case

No I haven't. Everything I've read says it's not necessary. IDK should try it sometime.

Ive ported several 372 but havent tried it either because I heard the same as u

Angled the transfers a little just because.

Didn't mess with them originally because I didn't have right angle at the time. Didn't lay it out because I'm just a hack. Lol(honestly it's my saw and I only went to the edge of the original chamfer)

Clean them up a little more and it'll be ready to go back together...

Nice 371 I've always preferred them to a 372 don't know why lol
My friend finally got my last 371 from me he had to have it after running it.
Mine was a dog after i tried advancing the timing hard to start and gutless i changed it back to stock.
Some guy's swear by it though.
