Dolmar PS-7900 RS Unlimited Coil

I have a good friend that has worked for the Makita/Dolmar plant in Hamburg Germany for 37 years. Last week I e-mailed him to find out about the unlimited coil they used on the 7900 RS.
The following are his exact words:
"We used modified cylinders and pistons on the 7900 RS. The ignition coil was the standard version."
So the elusive magical unlimited coil is nothing but a myth.

Believe most swap coils for an unlimited.

They had a 12.8 and 13.3 ish version. Never heard of a factory unlimited.

Howdy Red97, Didn't they modify a Husqvarna 272 coil that was already unlimited for a few more rpm's here in the U.S.

That was the typical swap.

Some sort of 2 series husky coil.

Longer lead, and big change in timing.
