Correct. The way I understood it, the grey top didn’t fit with the 7900 jug?
Shouldn't you be in bed.Was it the decomp hole placement?
7900 decomp is on the fw side also. 7910 and the new red Makita 7900 is on the top rightCorrect.
This is a 7901??
Decomp on f/w side, basically a "plug and play" for older 6401 model

The grey top fits with the old PS-7900 jug with the flywheel side decomp. Those top ends were available for a while, and may still be. Those were PS-7900 jugs with 7910 pistons. The grey top won’t fit the 7910/EA7900 jugs, with the PTO side decomp. The way I understood it, the grey top didn’t fit with the 7900 jug?
Beat me to it.7900 decomp is on the fw side also. 7910 and the new red Makita 7900 is on the top right
What plant is that.Current situation...
USS Irvin works West Mifflin PA...What plant is that.
I've hauled a load or two, but didn't do much out of PA.
I may have been to that one depending on how old it is. I used to hate going past the place I needed to pull into along the river, then I had to wait for a few miles to turn around, then you drive past it on the other side of the river another few miles to turn around again to get back to it .USS Irvin works West Mifflin PA...
Where's that one.I got a Zenar to put up on Wednesday bout that size, not quite as long
Where did you meet up with him Wade? Cool
Good to know about the 665. I just won a 665 in an auction when I was at Buckin Stock this past weekend. It has great compression. Just needs a little work in the carb I think. Not a bad saw to pick up for $100. It had a brand new carb in a box with it but turns out it's not for a Solo...Looks like the solo 665 is a bad mfer to begin with to beat a ported 60cc saw in stock form. Says they both have new stihl RS chains. Not my video or my saws. Just something I found browsing the web.
Sounds like you had a great time man, I need to get there next year. What carb is in the box for the solo? If the solo does not have a primer bulb then any walbro HD off a 371/372 will work or a zama from a 7900. The 372 carb choke lever hole is a little big for the wire on the dolmar/solo but it works just fine.Buckin Stock in Union Michigan! It was this past Fri-Sun. He liked my saws . He even used my @Mastermind ported 288xp to take down a red oak. I'll have video of it when I get a min to do some editing. His only complaint was no full wrap handle.
I was also racing a guy with a 661. I had my MMWS 2159 and was able to beat him in more than a few cuts. That got some attention! I dont have any video of that though. I'll ask around if someone has any because that was a trip man, 60cc's of furry showing a saw with 150% more displacement how to cut! Kudos to you @Mastermind, I love that saw.

It was a blast! It didn't have a primer bulb and idk who the carb is exactly. The guy that donated it to the auction said the carb is for a 036 IIRC.Sounds like you had a great time man, I need to get there next year. What carb is in the box for the solo?
