We are talking about taking one of the ferrys across the lake one way, then we'd go south around chitcago the other.

We'd like to go north, but we will be constrained on time for that trip.

Cool. Never done the ferry to Wisconsin. Didn't know which way was quicker for you. I'm considering going.

They came to ours last year via the UP and went home via Chitcago.
For us, I think heading south is substantially faster, we are only 3 hours away from that cestpool city.

I've never done the ferry, the only reason we are considering it is because we think the kids would really get a kick out of it.

I bet the kids would think it's cool. Yeah I looked at the map. South is your best option, especially with a highway running NW through Wisconsin.

I took the ferry once, MANY years ago. It is a nice change from the tollways.

Seriously, though. It's a few hours faster to go through that cesspool of a town. We talked about the ferry, too, but decided we wanted to see the UP, and then needed to be faster on the way home.

It was about the same time or more to take the ferry but I would do it again. Tolls and Chitcago suck. Also, IL gun laws are no good.
