I don't know much of them, but legendary rocker Ted Nugget was a fan of the rifles in the past.

I've shot many of them over the year's a few of my friends have shot 3 gun competition's with them mostly the retro version of the M4s
I've never heard a problem with them
I'd like to have a A2 classic 20"

I have several DPMS rifles. One 20” CMP and two 16” M4’s, as well as a few other lowers with non DPMS uppers on them.
Haven’t had any issues with any of them. The complete guns don’t have the tightest fit upper to lower but they always work.
They’re a basic gas impingement gun.

I’ve got one. Pretty much your standard platform. I would describe their quality as being a little better than average.

If I'm not mistaken DPMS is no longer a functional company. The brands name has been purchased by Palmetto State Armory. They use it to mostly market to resellers.

Never owned any of the DPMS setups or variants btwn upper/lower receiver swapping with other mfg'rs, but have pumped a helluva lot of rounds through them with friends that have them...they're not bad setups. Steve said it best up in post #4.

If you like the gun and the price is right, no reason not to get it. Wasn't DPMS once a military contractor, hence the name?
