I am curious to know what the difference between Walbro WT 426 and WT 194 carburetors are.
I am soon to take possession of a (I assume) late model Stihl 026 and am looking to fit a WT 194 carb.
Are they any better than the 426 (that I currently have) and what is the benefit to changing to a 194 carb?...

I can’t remember what the 426 looks like.

If all 3 parts of the bore are the same, and it’s H adjustable, there should be little difference in performance between the two. Especially in a stock saw.

There isn't much on the 426 carb (that I have found), everything I read says to use the 194.
I have read the wt-22 carb is a suitable replacement for the 194.

The 194 has always been my go-to carb for the 026. Fully adjustable, works good and lasts a long time.
