I say feel free to share what you want. There are probably some who come across this and will be able to identify something similar they are going through and may be able to cut years off of finding the correct help/treatment for them. I am glad to hear that you were able to finally get into a therapist that could help you work on getting back on track!!

...so years prior to this, around the time when my son, Chris and I were pumping out 100+, sometimes 200+ chainsaw parts packages a day from our webstore on eBay, I started having crazy dreams at night and not bring able to concentrate during the day. of course the armada of physicians wanted to PRE-SCRI-BE stuff that might help, none of it did anything at all as far as I or those around me could tell. I would be totally "on", life of the party at certain times like Chainsaw GTGs but afterwards completely drained and listless. I did finally manage to get an appointment with a psychologist (for you guys scoring at home that is a non-prescribing doctor who is essentially a counsellor) and began several years of weekly appointments where I would invariably describe myself as FINE or OK despite being generally miserable. She is a totally sweet lady who agreed to see my wife immediately after the death of my son without any referrals. or nonsense, even though I had not been a patient of hers for a couple of years by then. we decided that seeing her wasn't going to be of any more help and She helped me find an actual psychiatrist which is a real struggle around here, most waiting lists were several YEARS for a first appointment at that time. I worked with him for more than a year, he was a different kettle of fish as all prescribing doctors are, they need to make good guesses based on "iffy" feelings from a patient and try to keep correcting on the fly as they go until they make positive traction. Early on in the process I mentioned what I was going through to a physician/chainsaw maniac who was a close buddy of mine at the time. He called it years earlier than anyone else, saying I might mention the possibility of bi-polar to my Doc. instead of that happening I got a letter from the psychiatrists office saying he had passed away peacefully of old age and that they would be trying to place me with another appropriate doctor. well *f-word me in a rowboat full of kerosene, but I had been in the process of "therapy" for perhaps 4ish years at this point and was feeling worse than ever most days. The deceased doc's staff never found me a referral and out of desperation I called my former therapist and she called in a favor to get me in to see a man she referred to as an unqualified genius. He was an artist and a technician, totally unafraid to see me more often than the almighty insurance GURUS thought was clinically necessary.
We made progress and I was eventually prescribed as Major Depressive 1 with Bi-Polar and ADHD and seasonal effective disorder.....tired again, more later, if this is too boring just shoot me a PM and I can stop.

Hope you get things figured out so 26 is better for you, Dave. Many of us miss you and love you like a father, son, good friend, best friends, chainsaw buddies… the list goes on.

Reading Your posts, a lot has been tucked away between your words. Finding the RIGHT Doctor that fills your needs to get you the peace you need is the goal.
With a bizarre change of Attitude I will SUGGEST for you to "try" reading OPE for a few minutes a day. Possibly you will conclude after a while that we fit the criteria needed for therapy sessions.
Check with your powers to be AND if being around all of us delinquent miscreants is a good idea or not.

I'd like to make everyone aware that CCandRP aka Definitive Dave has taken my money and has not sent me the part that I ordered.
I ordered the part and he was paid on Oct 23 2025.
I paid extra for second day shipping as well.
My bank has disputed the payment as a fraudulent theft and today I received a response that CCandRP is disputing the retraction of payment.
I have tried to contact him many times through many avenues and have received no response whatsoever.
I hate to do this actually but hopefully it will save someone else from getting screwed in the future.
And yes I have all the back up if you're thinking im talking chit for no reason.

Like 330$ and depending on what ir was i can see that, specialty race piston with tax and all shipping and duties to Australia would be expensive

Ah shoot. I received the piston I ordered so all good with me. I just ordered another piston last week. Received my shipping notice with tracking.
Hoping that means Dave is getting on top of the challenges life has threw his way the last few years.
Might try sending a new email and get back on his radar.

I am indeed on top of things, at least to a greater extent than in recent years. This Neil situation is a whole different kettle of fish. Somehow he managed to order an item despite the fact that we no longer ship outside the US and we were out of stock on what he ordered. The system is set up to automatically refund orders after @10 days whenever we don’t have the product. This requires zero input from me and I don’t even know the order happens in these cases. At some point he started a chargeback which is asking the credit card companies to adjudicate the matter. Once this happens there is nothing he or I can do until they decide. I can’t refund, he can’t cancel the request. The money is not available to either of us. At this point it appears the CC companies decided in my favor, but I still haven’t seen any money.
Since I never did anything involved with this order the determination must be based solely on the order and/or refund request.
It looks like the amounts of order and refund do not match. The first time I dealt with a chargeback I dug deep with the merchant services folks and it was a quagmire. Was told the companies can take as long as 7 months to resolve a chargeback
