Thought I'd put up a poll to see who uses decomps or not.

I'm 73, I've got de-comps on all my saws. Not only does it make starting much easier, it helps the longevity of the recoil starter. On my modded 029, not only do I have a tuned de-comp on the 390 jug with the pop-up piston, but I also put on an 066 coil with the 4 degrees of retard on starting. Just pull and go - no 'starting drill' needed.

I built a Husqvarna 55 that had 250 psi compression. If you didn't use the decomp you would break the starter. I have a Husqvarna 545 that has a decomp, but I never use it, I don't see the need for it on that saw.

I don't use the DeCo's on my PS-7300 and PS-7310, I noticed that they require more pulls if I do , so I don't.
They're stock.

If it has one, I'll hit the button on cold starts.
Its what its there for, so why not.
Why not? You want to support rewind parts manufacturing. I also use the OMB on cold start, warm starts leave it alone unless it's a 200+ psi saw. But I am an old guy.

After using one on my 562, I would love to have one on my 056 mag 2 lol. Cold starts are ridiculous.
