So, I bought a 7900 because I have CAD. I don't have any d009 bars, only d025 and a d007. Any chance I can run the d007 without modifying it beyond use as a d007?

I will be buying a d025 to Dolmar adapter, but I want to run this thing ASAP after it arrives.

Thanks!

It's what's on my Pioneer Poulan 455. Not sure what else it was used on. I've read that d009 can be slightly modified to be used on d007 saws, but I'm wondering if it can go the other way.

Should be able to. That's that 8.2mm slot correct?

It'll be a little loose on the studs and you might have to make the oiler hole a little longer, but it will work

I run a D007 32 bar unmodified on my 6421. The slot is 3/8" for the older saws. It is a little sloppy on the studs but it oils ok and once you tighten the bar nuts it's good to go.

I ran a 24" total branded d007 on a 7900 I had without any mods. Like everyone else said, it's a lityle lose on the studs but it oiled just fine.
