Sometimes you just get the wrong part which usually is not intensional .Which if you have the actual part number rather than just the part name that doesn't happen .I've had that happen and I don't complain about it just reorder it using the correct OEM
part number . I know that eventually I'll find a need to have that part --if I can find where I put it .

I'll follow up with a mistake I made concerning a Delco starter I thought would fit a Ferguson tractor .It did not but it would fit by swaping parts for a reverse rotating gear reduction diesel starter used on an OC-6 Oliver crawler . I had had it for ten years unused and had $20 in it .The same starter new would have been over $200 .
Now chainsaws .There is no such thing I'm aware of like "Holanders interchange " which is not to say parts can not be interchanged between brands .The only way to find out is to try it . I can't remember them all but most times will have notes I keep with the IPL of that model .

As much stuff as he sells there are going to be mistakes. I talked to him on phone and he said if I would return the crankcase half he would send me the correct one. Never happened. If I had known he never had it to start with I would likely have just kept and saved $15. Something would have come along, or I would have just turned around and sold on eBay.

Keep buying from him and sooner or later he’ll send you the wrong part and tell you to gfy as well. That’s just how he rolls. I’ve had maybe a dozen perfect transactions with him. And one where he told me to pound sand. I created a case through eBay and got my $ back and bought the part from someone else
I do not doubt that happened. I do not buy through eBay with him and I have not bought in a good long stretch,

I buy everything through eBay just because of twats like him. And I’ll buy from him again knowing full well I may or may not get what I order. And when he tells me I’ll have to pay return shipping I’ll make an eBay claim again just to make him cry when I get a refund.

All I want is the part I ordered at the price I paid. Seems reasonable to me

I agree a man should get what he expects and what he pays for. I have tons of stories about all the times I have been screwed on deals. I am sure most others do also. A few weeks back I ordered some very specific bolts from McMaster-Carr. I had them in 16 hours.......except they were not correct. I called and they sent the correct ones. A few weeks back I ordered $700 in parts from Stihl and the bill did not match the quote. That still needs addressed and it will be taken care of.

Well, he blocked me as a buyer because I simply posted what he did on AS. I never left him any negative feedback. So far, I have never needed anything somebody else didn't have.

I've bought hundreds of parts on eBay and the only seller I had problems with is customchainsawparts. After not replying to my messages about my order I left neutral feedback. Then I got blocked. Ok with me, I'd rather not do business with that kind of seller.

I have had issues lately with things taking forever to arrive...from eBay and elsewhere. At one point, I waited a month and a half for a dozen files to arrive. When I contacted the seller, they shipped a new box immediately. It came a week before the box that I had initially ordered arrived. I went ahead and paid the seller for the extra box they sent too. You can never have too many files.

The reason that I mention it is that I ordered a set of bucking spikes for a Contra from customchainsawparts. Like others here, it wasn't the first time I had ordered from him, and had no past issues. A month and a half after they were supposed to arrive, I finally sent a message asking if he could contact the post office to check up on the package (without filing an "item not received" claim). The last time USPS got a nudge from the seller, the package showed up.

He definitely was in full arsehole mode when he responded. He basically said that if I had a problem, I should take it up with USPS instead of him.

Don't know if you guys have checked for a similar address near where you have things shipped.
I Found out Sister's place has an adjacent street and another house has the exact same number, plus the house is in about the same spot as Sis place relative to the street.
Have had a few things go to that house instead of here.
An extra issue is the other house is a rental unit, so more fun.
Sometimes people move out and then your stuff gets put on an empty doorstep and just disappears.

I've done business with him many times, but as been said that if you have a problem he can be a real dik. I kinda understand that if you're Harry homeowner and he has no control over USPS so he is probably swamped with orders and inventorying stock. But if you're going to sell to the public you do the best you can to find out what the problem is and find a solution. Got banned from him once and a few other people too. All because I didn't get what I paid for. I bet if Bryce went to a restaurant and ordered a t bone and they said they brought him the order but they didn't, and charged him for it he'd be upset too. It's all about the digital age we live in..
