Well I've been kicking around the ideal of doing some video builds for awhile now and finally decided to try one out.
These videos are a average of 30 minutes long and for the tear down it took four of them to not be to boring long.
So you have been warned.
I'm not going to do any modern saws of today I'm only interested in the saws of yesteryears.
So without further ado.

This is the final video for the tear down and if you wondering who it's for?
This Rear Handle s-10 belongs to none other than " Definitive Dave "
I promise the assemble is going to be pretty cool with the custom powder coating.
I hope it wasn't to pain staking so far.
Chime in and give some feedback.
It's going to have a high cool factor and we all know Dave doesn't do not cool stuff.

I got this saw in a box from my local grumpy old man with out an air filter cover.
I found a cracked cover on Ebay from Bryce and then sent it to Scarr for an amazing fix.
I love that a forum like this has a whole gamut of awesome guys like Randy who have varied interests.
I plan to see this saw powder coated in the company colors of my local Stihl dealer and I am going to give it to them as thanks for the great part service they provide me.
Plus I am a crafty devil and one day I hope to talk them out of a sweet vintage neon sign that hangs in their back hallway all unloved and unlighted :)
I have been wanting to do this for a long time, but I am so scatterbrained I cant stay focused on one thing for long enough to ever get anything done.

I found a hard copy S-10 IPL from 1981 in the literature stash, I will post it here after it gets scanned.

Watching the second part now.
I will post an IPL for the S-10, it is the only hard copy I have for this saw and I don't find any printed service bulletins. I also have IPLS for 07S and 08S and a lot of tech bulletins on 08S if anyone wants them posted.

Randy is great for doing this build for me. I plan to gift this saw to my local Stihl dealer when it is finished and powdercoated in their company colors.
The original saw came from the grumpy old man and the top cover I got from Bryce on Ebay and then Shaun Carr welded it back together so you cant even tell it was cracked with a piece missing.
Mike B (Glock37) is going to do the two tone Green paint job on this fun saw.
This forum is amazing.
Dave

EDIT: WTF my earlier post disappeared until after I reposted this.
hmmmm I blame one of the Randys

If it would be possible for you to scan and share the tech bulletins and IPL`s with us I would really appreciate it and I think others would do so too.

From customchainsawparts?
I'm not sure, never seen him post as far as I know.

I'm pretty sure we have all the parts for this one already.

I deal with them through Kevin, bought quite a bit in the last year or so.
Bryce doesn't like me :)
